Rip Ryman I.C. "Rip" Ryman (born January 9, 1934 in Nashville, Tennessee) is a member of the Metropolitan Council of Nashville and Davidson County, representing the 10th district. ==Education and career==
In October 2006, Vice Mayor Howard Gentry picked Rip Ryman to be Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee. He serves on both the Parks, Library, Recreation, and Public Entertainment Facility Committee and the Public Safety - Beer and Regulated Beverages Committee. Rip Ryman served in the U.S. military during the Korean War, from 1952 to 1954. He graduated from East High School in 1952, attended Belmont College from 1954 to 1955, and went to the University of Tennessee at Nashville from 1959 to 1962.〔
